Stopped by and ended up getting some really nice shots. The lighting was good too, kinda made everything look better than I expected. Definately a great spot if you like taking photos.

The site loads just fine for me, and the text is easy enough to read, so no real issues there. I was clicking around and everything basically worked, but the menus could definitely be a little clearer. Like, I found what I needed eventually, but it took a second to figure out where things were. Overall it’s fine, just could use a bit more obvious navigation.

So... I didn’t find much there that felt worth buying. I looked around, but nothing really stood out or made me want to spend money.

I actually learned a lot using this site!! It was easy to get around, and everything felt simple enough to follow... Definitely a good experience overall!!!

I checked out tarpits.org before I went, i was impressed once I got there. The whole place felt really clean, which matters a lot to me because I can’t relax when a spot feels messy or neglected. The walkways, benches, and exhibit areas all looked well taken care of, and I didn’t see trash lying around or anything gross. Even the bathrooms were decent, and that’s something I always notice. It just made my visit feel easy and stress-free. 5 stars from me.

They were open late enough for me to stop by, which made it a lot easier to work into my day. I was glad the timing worked out.

My first impression of the restrooms was that they were decent overall. They looked clean enough when I walked in, which I appreciated. The only downside was that the stalls felt a little cramped, but it wasn’t a big deal.

The admission process felt slow to me. I spent a lot of time just waiting around, and I wasn’t always sure what step came next. The staff were nice enough, but the whole process could definitely be faster and a lot clearer. at one point I was just sitting there thinking, “Okay, are we doing this today or what?”

I actually really enjoyed walking around the outdoor grounds. It was calm, pretty, and the mix of the tar pits and trees makes it a cool place to wander for a while. A few parts could be a bit better maintained, but it was still a pleasant visit overall. I’d go again.

We had such an easy day out here, and the kids really enjoyed themselves! It was simple, relaxed, and just a nice way to spend some time together 🙂

I checked tarpits.org before heading over, and the food info was definitely helpful, but I can’t pretend it led me to some grand culinary discovery. The options were kind of limited, mostly basic snacks and drinks, so it felt more like survival rations than anything exciting.

It worked fine for a quick bite, and nobody was starving in the wilderness, but I’d probably eat beforehand next time. Not terrible by any means, just average and a little pricey for what you actually get.

I was let down by the exhibit, to be honest. Like... a lot of it just felt old, small, and not all that engaging. Some of the displays looked worn out, and there wasn’t much that really made me stop and go, wow. For the price and the reputation, I guess I expected more. It kind of felt like walking through a half-finished school museum. I probably wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re really, really into fossils.

I tried using the interactive parts on tarpits.org, it was a little frustrating. I mean, the idea is interesting, but some pages took too long to load, and a few things I clicked on didn’t really make it clear what was supposed to happen. I kept thinking it would start to come together, but, well, it just felt kind of unfinished. It’s not terrible or anything, just not really something I’d see myself going back to much.

It was super easy to visit because it wasn’t packed at all. I kind of expected more people, but nope, just walked in and everything felt relaxed, which made the whole experience way smoother

I don’t remember every single exhibit we walked through, but the huge bones definitely stuck with me. Seeing all the fossils up close was really cool, and the place was easy to wander around without feeling rushed. My kid was actually into it too, which I always count as a win.

well... the site itself was okay to use, but the parking info really didn’t help me much. I ended up driving around longer than I expected, which made me annoyed before I even got there. It would be a lot better if they listed parking options more clearly, like prices and exactly where to go. Not the worst experience, but definitely not convenient

I tried booking tickets on Tar Pits, and I am absolutely convinced the site made it harder than it had any right to be. Pages were loading slowly for me, and I had to click around way too much just to find the time slot I wanted.
The checkout part was also clunky. It was not super obvious what fees or options were being added, which is the kind of thing that drives me completely insane. I did get the tickets in the end, but there is zero doubt in my mind the whole process could be a lot smoother.

I went with my family, and looking back, the kids did have a good time seeing the tar pits and all the fossils. It was definitely different from our usual museum-type outing, which I appreciated. Some parts were easy for the kids to follow, but I remember a few areas feeling kind of slow, and my younger one lost interest quickly. I do think it could use a bit more hands-on stuff for families. Overall, it wasn’t bad at all, just not something that kept everyone excited the whole way through. I’d say it’s worth visiting once, especially if your kids are into animals, fossils, or old bones...

The film itself was actually interesting, but watching it on tarpits.org was frustrating. It felt like the site promised a smoother, cleaner viewing experience than what I actually got. The picture was soft, the audio kept going up and down, and a few parts lagged enough to take me out of it. I was expecting better quality, so it was disappointing.

So... I could see the tar pits really clearly, and the signs were easy enough to follow. Straightforward and a cool place to check out.
